Spring has sprung well and truly here now, all the flowers are out, the swifts are back to begin nesting and we can cycle without gloves, hats and scarves.
We've had the downhill race again and couple of weeks ago, but unfortunately this year we just didn't have time to think about a buggy so we dusted last years off and added the equivalent of another person in weight in the form anchor chain. This years event was much busier than last year with some spiffy looking buggies. Haven't got the piccies of the camera yet but will do so and add them to this blog. Time trials put us 4th on the grid (Mark not amused about that!!). Final run was a bit of a hair raising event with us so close on the wheels of the buggy in front there was smoke pouring off their tyre. We carreared down the hill and round the first bend locked together. When we finally got unlocked we passed them into the final bend in a bit of death defying moment to finish 2nd again. All this happened over 1 minute 54 seconds. We'd cut 50 seconds off last years time and still only came 2nd. Next year will really be exciting!!! Great day had by all as usual.
Summertime has had some major leaps forward and we're out of the shed, back in the yard. Thankfully the sun has been shining for the last 2 weeks. The mast went on yesterday and next week she'll be back in the waterm nearly 2 years since she came out. We're almost done - what a mamoth task it has been. Next blog should contain the slideshow of all the work carried out.
This Sunday and Monday we're having a couple of days off, one for our friends Easter bash and one for the race to Palearos. We're keeping our fingers crossed that the weather will be kind and we don't get soaked.
Have a lovely Easter everyone. Καλο Πασχα
