This blog is a little self indulgent. Why. Because most of you who read this blog will not know the people in the community in which we live. The stories I put on here are mostly person non specific because I think there's nothing worse than reading about loads of people you don't know and will probably never meet. But this time I am going to waiver that and plunge right in and introduce just a few people who we spend time socialising with - oh all right, getting drunk with. Sometimes very drunk!

Let me introduce Big Kev, he's not big in size, in fact I don't know where he puts all his pints cos he's exceeding slim. He does however have a big personality with the occasional craving to show off more of his body (sometimes with the addition of ladies clothing, in this case a fur coat) than is necessary .... photo below at New Years Eve to prove that point .....

Next Kev's wife Linda.

Linda is my cycling buddy and good friend. Always enjoys a laugh and her fair share of wine, however, normally keeps within the bounds of being able to walk home unaided and doesn't normally miss early morning biking due to severe hangovers. Not normally one for making a spectacle of herself....

So Linda and Kev invite us round to their boat for Port and Cheese - Yes please we say, I LOVE Port. We go early cos Kev's a footy nut and his team will be playing late evening and he will be removing himself to the bar to watch it. We have nice food, wine and laughter, then Port and cheese and laughter, then more Port, then MORE Port and Linda and I have our dancin legs on. We dance in the boat till the guys get off to go watch footy, we dance in the boat a bit more, then decide it's time to go dancin in the bar. Linda with her slippers on, me with my socks on. We take the Queen album with us and move our booty to Fat Bottom Girls etc. until Linda has to be escorted back to the boat a bit worse for wear. My dancin, as told to me next day, got slower and slower till my batteries ran down and I curled up on sofa till Mark was ready to escort me home. I'm supported out of the bar between Mark and Sharky till my legs are ready to hold me up for the walk home.

GREAT night. Next day cancelled for Linda and I.

Then there's Debbie and Jeremy. Jeremy, on face value, an unassuming socialable guy, likes a pint and copious amounts of red wine on occassions, but is known throughout the community for NOT dancing. Debbie on the other had LOVES dancin and will be up dancin to all sorts of music and is a staunch ABBA fan, knows all the words to all the songs. She loves a drink or three and like me is happy and energetic when she's had a few.

So last Friday on our boat, Mark cooked curry for Debbie and Jez - those who haven't eaten curry cooked by Mark will not be aware of his curry cooking reputation - it's VERY VERY good! A few libations were taken in our local before eating, MANY more while we ate and ate and ate and MORE after we ate - and guess what - JEREMY DANCED!!!!

He looked like he was enjoying dancing and was even dancing while wearing Debbies slippers on his hands......

Not only did he dance once but he danced for ages and ages, hence the piccies to prove I wasn't seeing things, although the state I was in it was a wonder I could even take piccies!! 4am we finally called it a draw and slopped off to bed.
GREAT night. Saturday was mostly cancelled in our boat.

So that VERY rare sight of Jez dancin was what sparked off this indulgence. I hope it gives you a little smile reading it. x

Hopefully no friendships were harmed with the publication of this!
