paint a 'WHOLE' boat??? A sodding nightmare, that's what it's like.
Even though we were in a shed we still had to erect our own lighting - well we are in Greece!!
But why would you undertake such a mammoth task, because the previous paintjob was crap with a capital C and all the paint was flaking off. We thought it might just patch up, but no such luck. All the paint on the non slip part of the deck came off with the pressure washer.
The rest had to be sanded and sanded and sanded and filled and sanded!!! Mark nearly sanded his finger prints off.
Every fitting was removed from the deck. Strangely this made the boat look smaller not bigger as you would think.
It took two days just to mask up.
The actual painting had to be undertaken in 3 parts. First one half was painted then a couple of days later the other, then finally the cockpit. Working conditions were stressful but we did finally get it finished.
Now we have one beautifully painted deck. Just the topsides to do now - deep joy!!
