July has been a hot and busy month, we've been working since we came back from our travels and some days recently have been over 40 degrees - wilting temperatures. We're obviously more acclimatised this year though, last year we couldn't do anything when it was like this.
We should have been flying back July 30th but we were asked if we'd take a boat up to Venice, it needed to be there as soon as possible in August.
So we thought a small detour on such a great boat (a Grand Soleil) would be a mini adventure. It's a real high quality boat and should be a joy to sail. We'll fly home from Venice.
The picture here is not the one we're delivering but it's identical. Unfortunately the one we're sailing has been sadly neglected for some time so it needed a good clean and some repairs to auto pilot etc before we would venture out in it.
